Nine Days of Prayer for the Departed - Day 1

O Lord God, by the Precious Blood of Your divine Son, Jesus, which was shed in His bitter crowning with thorns, deliver the souls in Purgatory, and among them those souls who are in greatest need of our prayers, in order that they may not long be delayed in praising you fully in Your glory and blessing you forever. Amen.

Our Father…    Hail Mary…    Eternal rest…

O Lord, hear my prayer, and let my cry come to You.
O God, the Creator and Redeemer of all the faithful, grant to the souls of your servants and handmaids the remission of all their sins: that through our sincere prayers they may obtain the pardon they have always desired.  Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
